IONODES Video Cloud
Camera status and motion detection alerts

The IONODES Video Cloud allows you set-up alert notifications when any camera is taken offline/online and when motion is detected on specific cameras.   These alert notifications can be configured to be sent to your mobile device and/or email address, offering you a convenient way to stay aware of relevant activity regarding your surveillance cameras.

Setting up notifications for camera motion detection alerts

Using the steps below, you will enable and configure motion detection alert notifications.  This feature will allow you to receive motion detection alerts directly to your mobile device and/or email address for selected cameras.

To get started, log into your Video Cloud app using your credentials. Select the desired camera and click on the small cog wheel on the top right-hand side of the camera preview to enter the camera’s settings menu.

Step 1 – Alerts – Motion Detected section

Once in the camera’s settings menu, head over to the Alerts – Motion Detection section.

Step 2 – Enable the Alerts on

This setting will enable or disable any alerts sent to your mobile device whenever a motion detection event has been triggered. Enable it to activate the notifications for camera motion detection alerts.

Step 3 – Alert Type

Three separate settings are proposed for Alerts; Push notifications only, which will alert you via your mobile phone notifications function, Email notifications only, which will send you an email with the alert, or Push and email notifications, which will send both types simultaneously. Simply choose the type you preferred.
