One of the main features of our Secure Display Stations is their ability to allow operators to perform pan, tilt and zoom operations on PTZ cameras displayed on the video wall. These operations can be done using a USB keyboard and mouse directly connected to the device. To add versatility to deployments requiring PTZ control, we recently added support for the Panasonic WV-CU980 network keyboard and joystick starting with firmware version 6.4.
The WV-CU980 keyboard can therefore be used as an alternate PTZ control solution to a USB keyboard and mouse. Because the keyboard is an IP device it can connect to a Secure Display Station via network, allowing the keyboard to be installed anywhere in a facility regardless of the location of the device since a direct physical connection is not required.
